Brett Favre Comes Out of Retirement...Just Kidding!
UW-Green Bay students found an article in the college paper that stated Brett Favre was coming out of retirement.
Further review revealed the story was an April Fools' joke.

Oh, please. I saw this in the library last week and immediately figured that it was a joke. God bless Dan and the rest of the 4e staff for poking fun at this 'issue'. Considering the dozen or so phone calls I got when he retired to see how I was 'taking the news', this was practically begging for someone to satirize it. PS-Stacy, if you need to back up your statement with an attack on our school, perhaps you should reexamine your argument.

Ben, thank you for backing our little gag of the year. The real story is about how so many Packer fans got excited for one player to return to the team. I would imagine that says something about the state's outlook for the upcoming season. And, yes, Stacy. I am, in fact, a creative writing major. I'm glad you were able to detect the quality so clearly.

Stacy, you need to get a life, this is a joke and shouldn't be taken seriously. Every year the "Fourth Estate" does this and it is never critisized until Brett Favre is in it. As far as ripping on UWGB, you have no reason to talk poorly about our school. It is a great school and the only pathetic part of this story is the people that are over reacting to it. Who cares? It was well timed and a perfect joke, Football is a game and even thought I love it and I love Brett, it is still a game that is taken too seriously.
How immature... shouldn't these kids be LEARNING? I hope they are creative writers and not real journalism students. Otherwise, God help us. ** UWGB doesn't have a real journalism program... it's all making sense now. Ha.
