A 23-year-old New Auburn man facing felony charges for eluding officers and crashing into a Bloomer Police squad car made his initial appearance in Chippewa County Court.
Benjamin Cronin is charged with fleeing an officer, criminal damage to property and two counts of reckless endangerment.
Authorities say Cronin led them on a high-speed chase at the end of July going the wrong direction on a divided highway and crashed into a squad car.
Cronin is out on bond, with the condition he not enter establishments where alcohol is served. He will be back in court next month.
