Vang Motion Hearing

Photos of the crime scene where six deer hunters were shot to death last fall will be allowed at trial, it's just up to the judge which ones the jury will be allowed to see.

A motions hearing was held Wednesday in Sawyer County Court in the case against Chai Vang, the man accused of shooting the hunters last November in the woods near Rice Lake.

Judge Norman Yackel also will view video of the crime scene before ruling on whether that will be allowed at trial.

The judge also ruled that witnesses will be allowed to sit through the entire trial, and that two hunters who survived the fatal shooting won't be allowed to hear each other's testimony during the trial.
