In Trempealeau County, the Sheriff's Department says a Saturday evening fire injured an 85-year-old man.

It happened at a house on Prairie Road West, one mile east of Strum.

Deputies say Marvin Gonitzke was hurt, and transported from the scene by the Mayo One helicopter.

Deputies say a cooking stove likely sparked the flames.

They say the building and its contents were all lost.
