Beware of Fake Charities

With all the good people are doing to help in the relief effort for Hurricane Katrina, there are others who are taking advantage of people's giving spirit.
Millions of dollars have already been donated to different groups and organizations involved in the relief effort.
But with so many people opening up their hearts and wallets to offer help, there are some fake charities that pop up claiming to be accepting money for victims.
"People need to look out for emails that come in that they don't recognize. These could have viruses and require you to give out your information," Consumer Protection Agent Cindy White said.
