Nat'l Weather Service Changes The Way It Issues Warnings
Instead of issuing a warning for an entire county, the sirens will only sound for locations in the direct path of severe weather based on the National Weather Service data available at the time.

While several kids in the area were getting a snow day, the Eau Claire Police Department is getting the word out about the spring severe weather season.
This year, the National Weather Service will change the way it issues warnings. Instead of issuing a warning for an entire county, the sirens will only sound for locations in the direct path of severe weather based on the National Weather Service data available at the time.
