Governor Jim Doyle announced Thursday that the state will give a 400-thousand dollar grant to a new dental clinic at the Marshfield Clinic in Chippewa Falls.
The clinic will be similar to one in Ladysmith, except it will twice as big with 30 chairs.
The clinic will be open to everyone based on need and not ability to pay.
Officials say it's been a three-year process to get the two million dollar project approved and ready for construction.
Officials expect to break ground within three months and hope to start serving patients by next spring.
