Brace yourself for another round of gas price hikes because of Tropical Storm Rita.
The Wisconsin Petroleum Council executive director Erin Roth says if Rita builds to a category four hurricane, it could be as devastating to his industry as Katrina.
The American Automobile Association says the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Wisconsin is $2.78, after reaching a record $3.11 September 4th.
Roth says Katrina has shaken America's energy industry.
Triple-A Wisconsin spokeswoman Nancy Cain says part of the reason gas prices have dropped since Katrina is because fuel demand has subsided now that the summer driving season is over.
