Search Continues For Missing Rice Lake Man
Update: Rusk County Sheriff David Kaminski says the ground search should resume in a couple of days.

Update from 4/16:
It's been 11 days and there's still no sign of a missing Rice Lake man.
30-year-old Russell Nielsen disappeared in Rusk County on April 5th. His family reported him missing when they found his van, a coat and a hat near the Chippewa River 10 miles north of Bruce.
The Rusk County Sheriff told us they spoke with a kayaker who they hoped had seen Nielsen, but the man didn't have information. The sheriff says search crews will be out on the ground again in the next couple of days.
Update from 4/8:
The Rusk County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help to find a person who was seen kayaking down the Chippewa River on Saturday afternoon, April 5. The kayaker was seen north of Bruce traveling downstream towards the Village of Bruce. Law Enforcement would like to talk with this person as they may have information pertaining to a missing man, Russell Nielsen. Any information can be called into the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office at 715-532-2200.
Monday's Update:
Search crews in Rusk County are still looking for a missing Rice Lake man this evening. It's the third day crews have been looking for 30-year-old Russell Nielsen.
The Rusk County Sheriff tells us family members reported him missing Saturday night, and found his S.U.V. by the Chippewa River north of Bruce.
Crews from eleven area departments searched by air, ground and water for Nielsen. Monday, the sheriff says they used K-9's and concentrated their efforts near the river, about 10 miles north of Bruce near Highway 40 and County Highway A.
Sheriff Kaminski says Nielsen's family members found his hat and coat in the woods near the river. Family members say they don't know what he was doing there that day. The sheriff says he has no evidence to suspect foul play.

Sunday update:
Deputies say a 30-year-old Rice Lake man is missing Sunday night.
The Rusk County Sheriff's Department says Russell Nielsen was reported missing by his family Saturday evening.
Deputies say they found his vehicle parked along a road near the Chippewa River, about 10 miles north of Bruce.
They also found a coat and a hat they think belongs to Nielsen.
Deputies say today's extensive search included crews on boat, by air and on foot.
A number of agencies helped out -- including local fire departments, the Wisconsin DNR, the Department of Justice and a LifeLink helicopter.
