MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) -- A University of Wisconsin-Madison student has been laid to rest in Marshfield, while the hunt for whoever killed her continues in Madison.

Twenty-one-year-old Brittany Zimmermann lived in an apartment only five blocks from the state Capitol, and that's where she was found dead last week.

St. Andrew's Church in Stratford was filled for her funeral yesterday.

The UW junior was following her dream to become a doctor when she was killed.

Police have released few details about the homicide.

They have detained or arrested several people on charges not related to the death and so far haven't identified a suspect.

Funeral services were held Monday morning for the UW-Madison student found murdered in her apartment last week.

Brittany Zimmermann’s friends and family say she touched a lot of lives.

They say they'll miss her smile the most, but her memory still lives on. A candlelight vigil was also held last night on the UW campus.

Detectives are still pursuing leads in the murder, but say there are no suspects in the case
