The Department of Workforce Development says Madison continues to have the lowest jobless rate in August at three percent. Racine has the highest at 5.7% -- down one-tenth of a percent.
The seasonally unadjusted rate for Wisconsin last month was 4.3%-, down three-tenths of a percent from the month before.
Eau Claire's unemployment rate fell from 4.1% down to 3.9%, and La Crosse is at 3.6%, down from 3.9%.
