Norwegian Immersion Camp

More than 50 kids from all around the Midwest are attending a Norwegian immersion camp. They have twice daily language lessons and are learning about all aspects of Norwegian culture, like rosemaling, cooking, and traditional games.

"They have this whole thing that they share, this commonality that not only they're Americans, but they're Norwegian-Americans that really celebrate their pride and heritage," says camp director and former camper Sarah "Marta" Listug.

The camp has been running almost thirty years. This summer's two week session will wrap up this weekend with Viking Olympics.
