Hunter Killed in Shooting Incident
A 17-year old boy from La Crosse is dead after a shooting incident in Monroe County.
It happened between black river falls and sparta around eight Saturday night.
Officers say they went to the private property off Abbotsford Avenue to help find a missing hunter.
After searching with police dogs, the unarmed teenager, whose name hasn't been released, was found dead of a gunshot wound.
Police say foul play was involved, and they called in the state crime lab to investigate.
A man is being held in connection with the shooting.
He's scheduled to appear in monroe county court on Tuesday.
