The community partnership "Energize Eau Claire County" started a campaign Monday to help most of you work your way toward shedding a few pounds. They say less than half of the adults in Eau Claire are actually at a healthy weight.
Eat Smart and Win is a new version of a previous campaign that encourages you to eat more fruits and vegetables as well as exercise.
The group reccomends five to nine servings per day, and experts suggest keeping a log of what you eat.
"When we do that, we reduce our risk of some cancers and many chronic diseases," said Community Health Educator Francie Peardon.
They'll also be holding "Tips and Taste" sessions with samples and recipes for healthy snacks and meals.
It runs until November 6th and is available to anyone who lives, works, or sees a doctor in Eau Claire County.
