Authorities say a man accused of stealing heifer calves from two Fond du Lac area farms told investigators he did it to get money.
24 year old David Vande Slunt of Fond du Lac faces three theft charges and two misdemeanor trespassing counts.
A criminal complaint says he took four heifer calves early Tuesday.
The complaint says he went to the farms and loaded the animals into the back of his pickup truck, although one calf jumped from the truck.
Officers arrested Vande Slunt at the Equity Livestock Yards where he allegedly tried to sell the animals.
