Stillwater Bridge Over St. Croix River Closed
It just got harder to get across the St. Croix (kroy) River between Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The Stillwater lift bridge has closed for a five million dollar repair project.
The bridge is scheduled to reopen October 31st. Boat traffic won't be affected.
Motorists should take a 15-mile detour through Hudson, Wisconsin, and across the river on Interstate 94.
The aging bridge is used by an estimated 16-thousand motorists every day.
