Account Set Up for Girl Attacked by Pitbull

A benefit account has been set up for an Eau Claire girl who was attacked by a pitbull at her home last week.

Five-year old Josephine M. Shadick and her mother, 27-year old Jessica Shadick, were inside the home on Blakely Avenue when the dog lunged at the girl.

Jessica Shaddick tried to intervene but she was also bitten.

Friends of the family say Jessica Shaddick is expected to be released from Sacred Heart Hospital this week, but the child still needs to under-go another surgery.

The girl was moved out of critical care at Sacred Heart Monday.

You can make a donation to the Josephine Shadick benefit account at any RCU location .
