Fewer people said "I do" last year in Wisconsin, extending a decades-long decline in marriage rates.

The annual report released Tuesday from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services shows there were 32,159 marriages in the state last year. That's nearly 1,300 fewer than in 2006.

Marriage rates have been dropping steadily in the state since 1980.

But those getting married seem to be sticking together longer.

There were 272 fewer divorces last year compared to 2006.

The number of divorces has been steadily dropping since 1990.
