A high speed chase Saturday morning sent Eau Claire Police flying down the road at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The chase started at Highway 93 and Golf Road in Eau Claire, just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a woman reported her car stolen earlier in the day. An officer spotted the Volkswagen Jetta at the intersection, and took action. That’s when police say the driver took off.

A State Trooper was able to put down "stop sticks" on Highway 93 near Aspen Road, but officers say the driver continued for another mile, and eventually stopped at County Road HH near Cleghorn.

The two people inside the car took off on foot.

Police say they caught the 15-year-old male passenger near the car. But, the 17-year-old male driver took off, leading police on a 45 minute manhunt.

They eventually found him in a corn field, and say he's a runaway from Rochester, Minnesota.

Police say he'll be charged in adult court with three felonies.

The help they need? They should have had that help from their parents as they were growing up. Seems it may be the blame of the parents for not teaching the how to handle themselves as adults. I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

Once again we have male teenagers that will not behave themselves. I hope they can get the help they need before it's too late.
