Classes resumed Monday at Chippewa Falls High School following Sunday's early morning bus crash that claimed the lives of five people including the school's band director. The bus was among four returning Saturday night from a high school band competition in Whitewater.
Twenty-people were injured in the early morning crash in addition to the five who died. A charter bus from Chippewa Trails collided with a jackknifed semi-trailier truck in the westbound lanes of I-94 around 2:00am Sunday. The driver of the bus, 78-year-old Paul Rasmus, was among those who died.
Meanwhile, the National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation.
