The Eau Claire Fire Department continues to expand its coverage area.

The Eau Claire City Council approved EMS agreements with the Town of Rock Creek and the Village of Fall Creek.

The department already covers the city of Eau Claire and Altoona, and the Towns of Brunswick, Pleasant Valley, Seymour, Union and Washington.

The department took over responsibility for those emergency calls on March 1.

The Fire Dept is thin now. The City Redidents are going to pay the brunt of the City handling County EMS. Response times are a major factor in this agreement.
