Deer hunters will have some new rules to follow for this fall's deer hunts.

The State Natural Resources Board approved 35 earn-a-buck zones.
Hunters in those zones have to shoot an antlerless deer before they can take a buck.

The board also approved consolidating herd management and chronic wasting disease eradication zones into one single zone.

The board says the change will set up more traditional seasons and reduce herd populations
