The trial starts this week for a man accused of gunning down six deer hunters in northwestern Wisconsin.
Chai Soua Vang is charged with six counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder in the November incident in some Sawyer County woods.
The 36-year-old Hmong man from St. Paul, Minnesota faces mandatory life in prison if convicted.
Vang has pleaded not guilty and says he acted in self-defense.
The jury selection starts Thursday in Madison.
A Sawyer county judge granted a defense request to pick a jury from outside Sawyer County because of publicity about the case and concern of possible anti-Hmong sentiment in the area.
His trial will be broadcast live by the cable network Court T-V.
