Wisconsin Democratic U.S. Senator Herb Kohl Meets With Supreme Court Nominee
Senator Herb Kohl met one-on-one with Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers Thursday. Afterward, Kohl said the two talked about privacy issues and abortion, but the senator wouldn't elaborate.
Kohl says he hasn't made up his mind on how he'll vote on Miers. Kohl sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which considers the nomination next month.
Kohl says Miers will have to convince the committee that her knowledge, philosophy and experience qualify her for the court.
