One of the biggest movie stars of the animal world made a tour stop in western Wisconsin this weekend. His name is Blanco, but for most of you he's a horse of a different name!

Shadowfax stormed across movie screens around the world. This weekend Blanco performed in Chippewa County.

“Because of the popularity of the Lord of the Rings movie, this is the most popular living horse in the world," says Blanco’s Owner Cynthia Royal.

Royal bought Blanco after his rise to fame in Middle Earth, but, this steed still has some of the same tricks!

Next up for this movie star, he's headed to Vegas to star as Pegasus in a stage show.

"What we do with Blanco and why we're in Holcombe is we do a very unique training. We use horse language and culture to get beautiful things out of them," Royal says.

Blanco can bow, he can two-step and do a special horse handshake. They’re all tricks taught without force and that's what royal wants to teach other riders at Merrimount Stable near Holcombe.

"It will broaden the scope of training. People might not realize you can do so many things by communicating with them and then you can be friend instead of just master," says Sandra Ricker or Merrimount Stable.

"It's a very magical experience. We want to teach people to have that magic," Royal says

And show off one pretty famous face!
