A Gays Mills man pleaded no contest for his involvement in a fight that killed a man.
Mikeal Heisz, 28, entered the plea to charges of misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct in Vernon County court Monday.
A criminal complaint said Mikeal hit 50-year-old Kelly Kuykendall after Kuykendall made a remark that angered Heisz and his cousin David.
It goes on to say David Heisz then dragged Kuykendall to the tavern door and pushed him backward off a landing to the sidewalk and continued beating him.
David is facing second-degree homicide charges and is scheduled to be back in court in June.
