Holcombe Referendum Fails

The Lake Holcombe School will not receive the $1.6 million sought in the referendum in a vote that was cast today.
By a vote of 464 to 164, the referendum failed.
The money was to be spent on improvements to the school and would cost on average an extra $120 per year on $100,000 worth of property.
Superintendent Tom Goulet now plans to go back to work with the school board on other ways to get the improvements.
