A 39-year-old Ringle man has been ordered to stand trial on a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in the September 2006 death of a woman who was riding in a truck with him.

The move for Ted Erickson came after a preliminary hearing in Marathon County Circuit Court. Ringle is east of Wausau.

The criminal complaint says the body of 34-year-old Juliann Landowski was found by police in the roadway of Wisconsin Highway 29 in Ringle.

Authorities say that, although Erickson originally told police that Landowski was driving, he was later charged as the driver in the case.

Erickson's $25,000 cash bond was continued.
