Study: Zien Reimbursed More for Business Travel

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's study of milage reimbursement records shows that State Senator Dave Zien got about $7,500 more than a rank-and-file employee would have when he used his motorcycle for business during a 2-and a half year period.

During that period, the rate was about 16 cents a mile for motorcycles, and about 32 cents for cars, the same rate senators are allotted when driving privately owned cars.

Zien says he's allowed to collect that rate for any vehicle, and that he should not have to take less.
