Three out of four men arrested in connection with a stabbing in Independence will stand trial.

Prosecutors dropped charges against Efren Isidoro Hernandez. Investigators say on April 20th, the police chief saw people running from the El Ranchero restaurant and bar. He says he saw Edwin Rebolledo Gonzalez getting up from the ground covered in blood with cuts on his back and left arm. The victim told police seven or eight men tried to hit him with a chair, a 2x4, threw bottles at him and cut him with a knife.

The remaining three men face two counts of aggravated battery.
