The construction on Clairemont Avenue will soon cause even more delays.

The Department of Transportation says starting Sunday, two westbound lanes of traffic will be closed from Craig Road to Patton Street.

Then on Tuesday, the rest of the westbound lanes will be closed from Patton Street to London Road.

The lanes will remain closed until the end of July.

During this time, the westbound traffic will be moved to the eastbound side.

Also, starting next Thursday, State Street will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews begin work on the bridge.
