The next year could be a busy one for Wisconsin National Guard Soldiers.

The head of the guard says up to 40% of his soldiers could get called up to serve overseas next year. The brigadier general says he expects 3,200 soldiers will be sent to Iraq in early 2009. He says that number could grow, but the governor does not expect it to hinder guard responses at home.
