Nine women and five men have been picked as jurors for the trial of a former Wausau police officer accused of trying to kill his wife.

Chueng Lee is accused of forcing his wife into a vehicle and deliberately crashing it into a Shawano County bridge in September. The woman survived.

The 46-year-old Weston man is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, false imprisonment and aggravated battery. He faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted on the charges.

Lee had 15 years on the Wausau police force at the time of his arrest. His wife had filed for divorce a year ago.
