A Trempealeau County man is dead after a one-vehicle crash near Independence.

The Sheriff's Department says it happened on River Valley Road, just south of County Road Q, at around 1:30a.m on Saturday.

Deputies say 24-year-old Wesley Gene Allen of Independence was negotiating some curves in the fog, when he lost control and rolled his vehicle.

Deputies say Allen was thrown to the ground, and pronounced dead at the scene.

They say a female passenger was taken to Luther Hospital in Eau Claire by helicopter.

Come on, what was that saying nothing nice to say, don't say it. A mn is dead. People make mistakes, and pay. People are mourning, keep those comments to yourself.
