The Eau Claire City-County Health Department says it tentatively has the dog that bit two boys in Altoona on Tuesday afternoon.

Courtenay Johnson says the owner of a terrier mix called the department Thursday morning, saying she believes her dog bit the boys.

Johnson says that dog is vaccinated.

The department still has to positively identify the dog. That means getting a visual identification from the children. Johnson says the children are doing fine.

If the boys identify the dog as the one that bit them, Johnson says it will be quarantined at the owner’s house for ten days and has to see the vet twice during that time.
