The Wisconsin National Guard's First Battalion 128th Infantry unit based out of Eau Claire has been overseas since last November.
On Tuesday the first group of soldiers arrived at Volk Field to the thrill of many family members, on Thursday that same scene was replayed.
22 members of the 128th returned from Iraq to Volk Field Thursday morning.
The group of soldiers had about an hour to catch up with family they haven't seen in months.
For some soldiers, the reality of being back in Wisconsin is still hard to believe.
After the soldiers had some time to spend with family they headed to Fort McCoy for five days of out processing.
More soldiers from the 128th are expected to return next week.
