Two Oshkosh men are arrested after leading Barron County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle over the weekend.
Sheriff’s deputies say it happened around 10 Friday night on the Hwy 53 Bypass.
Barron Police attempted to pull over the vehicle driven by 17-year-old Timothy Cook for a traffic violation. The chase led police in speeds excess of 100 miles per hour and ended in Washburn County near the Highway 70 exit with the help of a tire deflation device. That’s when Cook and passenger, 20-year-old Derek Mills were arrested.
Police determined the vehicle was stolen from a burglary that day in Rice Lake.
The case remains under investigation.
