Swimming Closed

Even though the water may be a little chilly, swimming is now prohibited at two parks in Eau Claire County.

The Eau Claire Parks & Forest Department says you can't swim at Lake Altoona County Park and in the Eau Claire River at Big Falls Park.

The decision was made after high bacteria levels were found at both locations.

The City-County Health Department will test water daily until bacteria levels return to safe levels

If you have any questions, you can call the Health Department at 839-4718.
