Wisconsin Trade Mission Includes Dunn County Company

Governor Doyle leads a trade mission to Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland this week.

Doyle and a delegation of Wisconsin business and government representatives will arrive in Germany tomorrow. They'll be in the Czech Republic by Thursday and Poland by Sunday.

The business leaders are looking for new ways to tap into the emerging Eastern European market. The state exports nearly 50 (M) million dollars in goods to Poland and the Czech Republic.

Poland has the largest economy of the new European Union member states at 472 billion dollars.

While in Germany, Doyle will meet with Wisconsin members of the Army's 123rd Main Support Battalion in Dexheim.

The trade mission delegation includes 23 business representatives, including those from Ariens Company of Brillion, Chippewa Valley Bean Company of Menomonie, United Tank Systems of Stockbridge and Neuske's Applewood Smoke Meats of Wittenberg.
