Red Cross Continues Aid for Severe Weather Victims

As weekend crews work to help with clean up the American Red Cross continues to provide feeding operations throughout Vernon County including Viola at the Methodist Church and Readstown at the Peace Lutheran Church.
Bulk distribution of Red Cross Clean Up Kits, water, flood clean-up information and supplies continues as well at the following locations:
Ontario Fire Department – 303 East “B” St.
La Farge High School-- 301 West Adams St.
Viola Methodist Church – 404 North Commercial St.
Readstown Peace Lutheran Church – 112 E Center St.
De Soto Community Center – De Soto, WI
Viroqua Living Faith Church – 852 North Main St.
Kendall Village Hall – 219 East Railroad Street
Red Cross client caseworkers have begun doing outreach in Vernon and Monroe Counties and are working with clients to asses their needs.
Those affected by the flooding are encouraged to call 1-866-Get-Info (866-438-4636) for more information on available Red Cross Services.
Red Cross workers say Friday's collection at the La Crosse Center brought in more than $91,000. That number does not include all credit card gifts and drop off contributions they received.
