Representative Ron Kind says the veterans memorial will receive a $15,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development.
He says the money will go towards purchasing a "fountain of tears" statue, the last installment of a project started at the site to help veterans and their families deal with post traumatic stress disorder.
The project, started three years ago. The fountain of tears will feature the statue, a bridge, stream, and pond.
