EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A group is trying to make sure every kid is able to break in a brand new book this holiday season.
The friends of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library -- a non-profit volunteer organization -- is collecting books for the 19th annual Give-A-Kid-A-Book Project.
The books will go to area agencies serving children and teens.
From now through December 19th, you can bring new, unwrapped books to the public library during regular library hours or to charter bank.
Bess Arneson, a Librarian at the L.E. Phillips Library says, "reading is a key to going on in life so whenever you can get a book in the hands of kids that's a good thing."
Books most in need include board books for babies, easy picture books for ages 2 to 5, and fiction and non-fiction books for ages 6 to 18.
