Public comment session yields no recommendation for Chippewa County sand mine

The plan commission did not make a recommendation as it hoped it could.
The public comment session lasted more than 2 hours in the town of Howard Monday night.
It was standing room only with about 100 people at the meeting. Some showed support, while others voiced concerns about Canadian sand and Proppant Company's proposal to build a sand mine on farmland in an area near Colfax
