Lemon Plea

A Boyceville man accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill his ex-girlfriend's current boyfriend pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of aggravated battery.

41-year-old Daniel Lemon was originally charged with attempted first degree homicide for allegedly giving an undercover investigator a 44-caliber handgun as collateral.
He then offered to later give the investigator a hay bailer as payment.
Lemon faces a maximum penalty of six years in prison.

He will be sentenced in early February
