It's illegal to shoot albino deer in Wisconsin.
One upset Cable resident is Linda Krajenka, who says she and others admired the albino buck for nine years, almost like a pet. She says there was no excuse for shooting the deer because there's no brown on it at all.
State warden Mark DiSalva says the deer was shot November 21st in the Cable area near Crystal Lake.
Bayfield County District Attorney Craig Haukaas (HAW-kis) says he's reviewing investigative reports. He's considering options that include civil forfeiture for illegal possession of a deer as well as possible criminal charges.
