A Clark County woman races past the century mark to another birthday milestone.
Ella Gorsegner turned 105-years-old in Thorp Wednesday.
Ella says she was born in Thorp, and hasn't gotten any farther from the town yet.
Family and friends gathered for her birthday Wednesday and say she's a tremendous person.
After 105-years of living, it's hard to believe Ella Gorsegner almost died 53 years ago when she was sick.
Ella Gorsegner says, "They actually pronounced me dead because they called all the kids and everything and then I just came to and I'm still here."
The tough Gorsegner pulled through and celebrated another birthday with family and friends.
Dean Hubbard says he's known Ella his entire life and says she still calls him her baby.
Dean Hubbard says, "I was just a baby and my folks got Ella to come and babysit and she still remembers changing my diapers after 88 years."
Ella also recalls the first time she ever saw an automobile, when she was only 5-years-old!
Ella Gorsegner says, "I heard an awful noise and I looked up and there was a top-buggy, it had the top on, your dad had a top buggy remember it? And it was without a horse and it came rumbling down the hill and ran ahead. I jumped ahead in the middle of the road and ran all the way home."
Ella says she attributes her 105-years to hard work on the farm.
And has a bit of advice for us young kids.
Ella Gorsegner says, "Be kind, no matter how they treat you, always be kind."
Hubbard says he's proud of Ella and what she's accomplished in life.
Dean Hubbard says, "We would all like to follow in her footsteps. She's lived a good clean life and has been a hard worker."
