The Barron County Sheriff's Department says 80-year-old Cecil Snider has been found.
NewsCenter 13 will have more on this story on NewsCenter 13 weekend.
Eighty-year-old Cecil Snider was last seen Wednesday at his home east of Rice Lake.
Crews are expanding the search area for a missing man near Rice Lake. Family members are hoping 80-year-old Cecil Snider will be found quickly.
Barron County Sheriff, Tom Richie, says more K-9 and ground units joined the search Friday.
Snider's son, Kevin, says he is in excellent physical shape but the trouble is Cecil has Alzheimers.
Kevin got a call from his older brother around seven Tuesday night that his dad was missing, and since Wednesday morning family members, officers, and volunteers have been combing the area.
"Yesterday we launched an extensive ground search with about 120 volunteers from the area covering wooded area around the gentleness house. We have not come up with any positive leads yet" says Sheriff Tom Richie.
Kevin says his father is very personable despite his disease and Kevin believes his dad may have left the state.
"At times he's very friendly. He could still get in a truck, drive it down the road at times with no trouble at all, and so he could be anywhere in the country at this point." says Kevin.
Richie says he called out a number of K-9 and horseback units along with air support but the problem comes with the rough terrain. Richie says area resources already streched in the search for another missing man, 25-year-old Keith Kennedy.
"Another issue we have is an extensive search in Burnett County for a similar situation and it is exhausting all of the resources in Northwestern Wisconsin" says Richie.
Kevin says it is not unheard of for his father to make the five-mile walk to Rice Lake for breakfast, and while the family and volunteers searched the woods, hope came from the city of Rice Lake.
"As far as we know there are a number of possible sittings in the Rice Lake area but everyone has been unfounded being that it has been 47 hours if he had been in Rice Lake I would have expected to receive a call."
And until that call comes in, the family is trying to keep their spirits up.
Snider says his dad was wearing a dark plad shirt, blue jeans and brand new Harley Davidson boots. Cecil is about six feet tall, 165 pounds and has short grey hair. If you have any information, you can call the Barron County Sheriff's Department at 715-537-3106.
