I am reading what you all are writing and I thank you all for your support. I an cecil Snider's granddaughter and he is one of the best people you could ever hope to know. There were tons of people that were there looking for poppy including my father and brother and they all came up empty. I think that all was done that could be up to the point that poppy was found. everyone did a wonderful job. everyone has to remember that the area getting walked through is tough. The men were tired, hungry and wet from walking through swamps. As far as the age issue poppy just proved that an 80 year old man can survive! And to not give up hope

I think it should be SHAME ON JOHN! What are you thinking????!!!!??? I don't care what the age, a search for a missing person at ANY AGE is important! I guess you've never been in the shoes of someone you knew or a loved ones of yours that was missing as you wouldn't say that! Let's show some respect!! I am VERY glad that Mr. Snider was found, everyone can rest now that he is safe and okay. THANK YOU to everyone involved in the search!

So, John...I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that there is an age limit on searching for a missing person. I hope that it never happens to you or your family if someone is over that certain age and is missing for more than a few days. Man...I really didn't think that people thought that way. I was very shocked when I heard that they had stopped searching. They still had at least 6 hours of daylight left.

Ok John what would you have done if that was your family member? Would it still have been the right choice? Thankfully he was found and brought back to his loved ones!

How can you say Shame on the sheriff, he also has a budget and I am sure cannot afford to keep that many people on overtime. Really look at what he had, a 80 year old man gone for three days...really step back and look what would you do. I think he made the right choice.

Shame on the sherriff for calling off the search so soon. I am sure that if it was one of his family members he wouldnt have done the same thing. Shame on him. I believe that it is a good thing that he will no longer be Barron County Sherriff soon. This county deserves better leadership than that. Way to go Snider family for not giving up hope and for being so persistant. May you feel a sense of relief and unity now that you have your loved one.

I am amazed that he was found at all. The sherriff stopped search parties at day three. He told the family to just go home and wait for a call. I find that to be very sad that the county gave up so quickly and I heard the family was trying to get volunteers to help them in a continued search for their loved one on their own. This needs to be looked into.

My prayer this morning is that Mr. Snider is found safe and sound and that his family is comforted by friends, family and the entire community during this very difficult and trying time. Many people you dont even know are praying for you and keeping their eyes open in hopes of finding Cecil.

I pray that Mr. Snider is found safe and sound. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and those who know him! A BIG sincere thank you to all those involved in the search from the entire county of Barron including law enforcement, fire fighters and the individuals who don't even know this gentlemen. Wow, the teamwork will bring him home! I'm sure this is SO tramatic with having this cognitive impairment and not knowing what is going on and if he is out in this weather we've had these past few days what he must feeling. God Bless and again thank you for all involved in the search of this gentlemen.

I hope they find Mr. Snider soon! I've seen the search going on and it looks as though the "authorities" are doing a good job. My grandmother has Alzheimers and I know how devestating this can be for a family - and now this. My thoughts and prayers are with the Snider family and everyone involved in looking for him!
