Employees at Luther-Midelfort are already in the giving spirit.
More than a dozen volunteers spent time Wednesday night wrapping presents* they donated to needy families.
In total, more than 50 families and 2 non-profit organizations will receive Christmas gifts from hospital employees.
To know what gifts to get, mitten and ornament trees were placed at Luther-Midelfort locations and with the hundreds of gifts collected, organizers are excited with the results.
"This is the third year the employee volunteer committee has sponsored the gift drive. It's a great committee to be on. We look for ways to help out in the community and this is one way we can do that," volunteer Lu Calkins said.
The presents for six of the nearly 50 families were wrapped tonight. Other clinic departments will wrap their gifts in the coming days.
