When the holiday comes, there are a lot of people hitting the road or flying to see friends or family.
This year, because of schedule cutbacks and record numbers of people flying, airlines will be busier than ever.
But, there are ways to make the travel experience simpler.
Experts recommend planning ahead by booking your flights as early as possible.
Julia Ryan, the vice president of Travel Advantage says you should think about flying on Christmas.
"It's really great to travel on the holidays. People don't tend to travel on those days and you'll find it's actually a much more pleasant experience," Ryan says.
If you're taking gifts with you, don't wrap the ones you're carrying on. Chances are they might get unwrapped at security checkpoints.
